These may or may not be the same thing.  This assignment is designed to have you critically consider the similarities and differences between how you perceive yourself and others perceive you.

Some questions to consider. How is our identity formed? To what extent are we defined by our talents, tastes, and interests? To what extent are we defined by our membership in a particular ethnic group, race or our religion? To what extent are we defined by the nation where we were born or our heritage? Also consider your gender and/or sexual orientation.

  • gender
  • age
  • hobbies
  • school affiliation and how you relate to your school
  • family and your position within your family
